Volunteering

Volunteering is good for you. You have a purpose, you learn some new skills and you meet other people.

Volunteering

There are lots of ways to volunteer!

Help in the Social Supermarket
Meet new people and help the customers to feel welcome!

Help in the café
Help people feel welcome and serve drinks, take food orders and help keep the place clean and tidy.

Help in the kitchen
Help others whilst learning some new skills in baking and cooking or help wash the pots.

Gardening
If you're green fingered (or want to be) join our team of volunteer gardeners.

Help with the Cookhouse community meal
We need help setting up, welcoming people, serving food & drinks and being a friendly face. Additionally we need help in the kitchen helping to cook delicious food. Could you help on a Thursday?

Volunteer Coach
Can you really listen to people? Can you encourage people to find their own answers and solutions?
Could you use coaching skills to empower social supermarket members and volunteers at St Mary's to take ownership for their own growth and development.
We need volunteers to join our team of coaches so we can see more people's lives transformed,
could you be a volunteer personal development coach?

Support Buddy Volunteer
Do you like to help people in practical and supportive ways? We are looking for volunteers to support our Social Supermarket members to help them with practical tasks, such as filling in forms, making phone calls and sorting out paying bills, could you help?
