The Trustees are seeking a hands-on visionary CEO to be both the strategic and operational lead for St Mary’s Community Centre. We are a small charity with big ambitions. Our next CEO will build on our reputation for delivering innovative projects which tackle issues of social isolation, injustice and poverty. Financial sustainability is key and we would value applicants with a strong business acumen.

St Mary’s is an iconic building in the heart of the city which includes the church, a conference centre and community support services. St Mary’s is one of Sheffield’s leading community/not for profit organisations running services for the community by the community. What we offer is based on the three pillars of; Support, Wellbeing and Growth for everyone. We want people to feel empowered to access their own strengths and take ownership of their own journey.
Volunteers are a lifeforce at St Mary’s and help create and run our services. We offer a range of activities from Lunch Club, Support Buddies and English Classes to name but a few, that help to build a place and purpose for everyone. We pay for this work through our social enterprise meeting and conferencing facilities and from funding for our Community Support programmes.
