Motorised Front Door – Money Drive

St Mary’s holds community meals through the week with people of all ages, backgrounds and lifestyles we do everything at Saint Mary’s to support all of our patrons however there is one area where we are struggling

The front door, a heavy fire door which a lot of of Patreon struggle to open our goal is to motorise the door, meaning people who struggle with the weight of it would be able to get through with ease. Not only the elderly but those with a physical disability struggle to get through the door due to the narrowness and the heaviness of said door.

Maureen, who also goes by Mor! One of our regulars who comes to Monday over 60s lunch club Explained that she feared as it got colder and I see her that she and her friends would not be able to get the door open without slipping over along with concerns for her fellow Patreon who use wheelchairs and walking sticks.

A new door is expensive and we are reaching out for support to gain the funds to make a new door of reality. Any support and donations are muchly appreciated to support our patrons into the winter months and years ahead.
